Champions (open rp: Please only join if you are active)

Owen gave up on looking for Rasper for the moment, he had his own troubles to worry about. It seemed a group of Zabraks have ganged up together were charging up a huge building. A sign that said, "The peak" stood in front of the staircase. Owen didn't want any one digging in for a defensive battle, that would make it a little harder for him when he had to come back and kill them.

Owen ran towards the staircase when the sound out a sinper rifle went off from high above. "Crap," Owen cursed under his breath, "There already to the top." Owen dived towards the staircase, just barley missed being hit from the sniper. Owen began the long way to the top.

Owen reached the top and looked around, to the left of him was a door with an elevator sign on top of it, "Really, I did all that for nothing," Owen shook his head but then got his mind back on to the current task.

Owen sneaked around the corners, in a swat team style. He finally found the way to the catwalks, and upon it were 4 Zabraks, aiming down there scopes at the ground below. "Wait, I thought there was 5..," Owen thought to himself. Owen instinctively turned around, and fired his mini-gun. The fifth Zabrak happend to be standing there, now he was full blaster hole, and fell over. Owen turned back around and finished the rest of the zabraks off.

Owen went back down the "The peak", this time taking the elevator. He encountered a couple Ithorians, hiding under a turned over desk. OWen took out a small round object and placed it on the desk quietly, he then contiuned to walk out of the building. once he left, he detoned the small charge he placed on the desk. Dust flew out of the openings on "The peak." Suddenly the whole tower started shaking back and forth.

Owen turned from the buidling and ran towards the next sign of a battle, a lot of huge buildings and smoke-stacks, it looked like some furnace.

As Owen ran "The peak tumbled over, the the catwalks connected to the main building began to pull over some of the smaller ones.

Rasper heard blasterfire in the distance, “Sounds like the party’s getting started without me”. Then Rasper heard heavy footsteps behind him, he turned around just as a pair of large hands grabbed his shoulders and lifted him off his feet and sent him flying a few feet. Rasper landed on his back with a thud, “Ugh what was-“ Rasper looked up and saw the familiar big man from before walking towards and grabbed Rasper by the front of his amour with both of his huge hands. “OH SHI-“ as Rasper was again sent flying into one of the nearby walls. He hit the wall shoulder first and then hit the ground with another hard thud. Rasper shakily got to his feet and quickly ducked as a large viro axe came towards him and wedged itself into the wall.

Rasper sent a hard right uppercut into the mans stomach and then a left hook into his head as the man tried to un wedge his axe. The man unfazed by his blows looked at Rasper for a second and then sent a hard backhand making hard contact with Raspers head sending him reeling back. His helmet had blocked the blunt of the blow but the force of this man was almost super human.

Rasper turned around just as the mans axe came down at him, Rasper rolled out of the way just as the heavy axe slammed into the ground which the sound echoed through the pathways. Rasper got up and jumped back as another axe swing going horizontally missed his chest. The man using the momentum from the axe swing brought it up over his head and sent it crashing down again. Rasper charged forward at the man just before he brought the axe down and slid right under the mans legs and spun around behind him. He kicked at the back of the mans knee and the big guy was forced down to one knee. Rasper jumped on his back and pulled out one oh his knives and plunged it into the mans right shoulder. He roared in anger and pain and then reached behind him and caught under Raspers amour and lifted him off his back and slammed him to the ground. “URGHHH” Rasper let out a sharp growl as he hit the ground. The man stood over him and went to bring a hard left hand down on Rasper. Rasper quickly grabbed his other knife and pushed it up and it sunk into the mans hand going all the way to the handle.

The man let out a similar pained roar and pulled the knife out of his hand and tossed it aside, he then grabbed Rasper and yanked him up to his feet and sent a hard headbutt into Raspers head. The force knocked Rasper off his feet but the man grabbed him again and lifted him to his feet again. The man went for another headbutt, but Rasper quickly grabbed a frag grenade from his belt and shoved it into the big mans mouth which then got wedged into his mouth. Rasper pulled the pin then sent two fingers into the mans eyes and savagely gouged them. The man reeled back in agony and let out a muffled cry of pain. The man now blind swung wildly around, Rasper ran and dove behind a nearby half destroyed wall. The grenade went off and the mans was blown to bits. Blood, brains and guts went all over the nearby path and walls along with a few limbs strewn around.
Rasper came out and stepped over bits and pieces of what was left of the big 6’8 plus man. He grabbed and holstered his knives and grabbed his heavy repeater that had flown off his back when he was first thrown. Rasper adjusted his helmet that was slightly dented. “Hope Owen got a better start than I did” Rasper thought and began walking in the direction that he had heard the blaster fire.

Fredrick and Mandrayk watch with perked interest as the gory battle continued...as the peak roared and rocked before crashing down littering “the high” with wreckage, Fredrick seem unfazed… nothing could dampen his spirits to, after all it had been waiting to fall for some time, and they could rebuild. After tonight’s bout they would make millions and he could pay ten such arenas. He continues to watch will glee

Mandrayk watched with fascination as the combatants gave into the bloodlust of combat...he turns to one of the viewing screen to see live coverage of Mr Karger's larger opponent, he looked again as Mr keez’s labours brought down the peak....impressive, however there ability to destroy should be noted, he'd better explain his position before he releases them and finalises his plan

Jacko crushed a combatant and casually tossed him a side, he watched as the peak fell almost captivated. He watched as the triumphant Owen ran into his favourite area…he watched him from a raised floor above… this was his…he was worthy…with a blood thirsty roar he flings him self from his platform his huge vibro mace held high intent on crushing Owen on landing

Owen finally reach the furnace building. The blackened streets were covered with bodies, most seemed to have died on impact from some type of melee weapon. Owen was cautious, he was not prepared to face an enemy right up close, he rather face the 'thing' that killed these people from a distance, but somethings can't be avoided. Owen connected his mini-gun to the back of his armor and picked up a vibro-sowrd of one of the fallen combatants . Owen walked to the end of the street, and yelled, "Who do i have to open a can of whoop ass for."

“I hate MAZES!!” yelled Rasper as he walked down a passage that looked the same as the one he had been walking down an hour ago, Maybe it was the same path for all he knew. “When I find that slimy Mandrayk ill tear off his arms and shove them down his throat.” He thought to himself. Just then he heard something snap under him and suddenly spikes came out of the walls and the walls lurched forward towards him. Rasper rolled out of the way as the heavy spiked walls slammed into each other. “Damn, I bet this maze is just full of traps like those” he said out loud to himself. Just as he said that he heard another snap and a wall near him lifted up and out came a very hungry looking Nexu.

It looked at Rasper with its four beady eyes and then lunged at him. Rasper went to pull his gun around but the Nexu was ontop of him in a flash and trying to rip off his head. Rasper held it from getting at him as it clawed at Rasper. Its claws scraped his amour; it didn’t penetrate the amour but left nasty looking claw marks. Rasper pulled one of his knives out and plunged it into one of its eyes. The Nexu screeched but dident let up. He stabbed it again, this time in its side. The Nexu screeched again and let up just a little but a little was all Rasper needed. He got his legs up and pushed off the Nexu’s chest, which sent it over backwards. Rasper crawled to his Heavy repeater and turned over on his back. The Nexu lunged at Rasper again as he fired his repeater. The blaster shots hit the animal and it landed on Rasper dead.

Rasper pushed the heavy animal off him. He got up and dusted himself off; “THAT ALL YOU GOT MANDRAYK!!!” He yelled defiantly. Rasper looked at the dead Nexu one more time then continued walking looking for a way out of the large and dangerous maze.

Jacko was above Owen hurtalng towrds him his Vibro mace ready to crush his prize...the bloodlust was rageing in him as too were numerous stims and conncotions made by Dr Mandrayk to fuel his blood fury.

Owen looked up in time to quickly roll to the left and raise his vibro-sword in time to deflect the mace. Jacko roared in anger.

"And i thought the battlemaster was on steroids, jeez, you take a gallon a day?" Owen taunted the raging muscled man.

Owen moved in and took a swing at Jacko's thigh, Jacko actually moved towards Owen instead of trying to block Owen's sword. "This guys so filled with stims he has no regard for his safety." Owen thought to himself. Owen had to take his blade back in mid-swing to stop the incoming mace. The force of Jacko's strike knocked Owen back to a wall. Owen caught his balance just in time to move out of the way of the mace. The mace swung down and hit the wall, fortunaltley it got stuck. Jacko tried pulling it out by. Owen took this time to move is and attack, he slashed his sword at Jacko's knees. The blade sunk into Jacko's flesh, Jacko turned his head and the viens that showed in his head grew bigger. Jacko gave up on the mace and picked up a huge metal pole.

"Crap, i can't block that with this sword." Owen said.

"You die here, apparently you aren't worthy." Jacko said in a rough voice.

Owen threw his sword at Jacko it struck Jacko's left thigh. Jacko took time to pull it out, during this time Owen moved behind a wall hoping Jacko wouldn't notice where he went. Jacko looked back up and Owen appeared to have fled the battle.

"Coward" Jacko yelled.

Jacko went back to sit on and old bench, and examined his wounds. He then started to apply more stims to himself. Owen began to sneak around behind the becnh where the muscled man left a bag which appeared to be full of stims. Owen reached the bench unseen and quietly looked through the bag looking for some of the stims he knew of. Owen pulled out two very strong stims, that could only be put on once a day or you would posion your body, and die with in minutes. Owen sneaked back behind the wall and moved back to the middle of the street.

"Hey, Stim Boy, come over here, i want to teach you a lesson." Owen yelled at Jacko.

Jacko got up and glared at Owen. He picked up the metal pole again and charged at Owen, full of bloodlust. Owen postioned himself so he could jump at Jacko when he got near, with the two stims in both of his hands he would inject them into JAcko.

Jacko was now close to Owen and OWen dived at him. JAcko didn't know what to think, no one ever jumped at him. Owen stabbed the stims into Jacko and instantly Jacko became woozy, he dropped the pole and went to his knees. He examined the two stims Owen had injected him with and looked up in horror at Owen.

"That is why you must allows limit your stim useage Jacko. you don't want to get addicted to that stuff." Owen joked.

Jacko fell dead.

Owen looked around, where to know he thought. Then he rembered Rasper. Owen headed towards a strange area that remined him of a maze.

Rasper continued to make his way down the large walls of the maze he had grown to loath so much. He had been going towards the direction he heard the most fighting going on. A few close calls from some traps and a hungry nexu Rasper had seemed to have almost made it out since the paths did not change as much and the traps seemeds to be fewer and farther between and not as hard to evade. Rasper kept walking then suddenly a short Duros wielding some sort of spear jumped out from behind a nearby hole in a wall and came at Rasper screaming as he came closer and closer. Rasper brought his repeater up and pulled the trigger releasing a quick but deadly barrage of blaster bolts that made contact with the crazed Duro and he fell to the ground a few feet from Rasper. He walked up to the dead Duros and knelt down and looked at the spear he had been holding. One of his blaster bolts had struck the spear but it seemed to done nothing to damage the spear. Rasper picked up the spear and saw a button on the side in the middle. He pressed it and the spear suddenly retracted with both sides of the spear retracting into the middle and it soon became about the size of a light saber hilt.

“This could be useful” he said to himself

The spear seemed to be made of Pirk alloy or something similar, which explained its lightweight. The blade end of the spear was about a foot in length maybe a little more. Rasper clipped the spear to his side and continued on.

Mandrayk observes as Owen slays the once mighty Jacko with his stim’s… Ironic. At least he might of won some favour with Owen as he enlighten him about Jacko before time….Rasper was still trapped in the maze but was doing well, but they still had quite the fight a head of them. Mandrayk continues to observe and study, this plan had been in motion for a year the first steps being taken even before his joining of the GTC…and it was all falling together nicely.

*Fredric looks puzzled he was watching the highlights of his grisly creation when the audio feed picked up Rasper’s bellows of “IS THAT BEST YOU GOT MANDRAYK” and others…why was he blaming him after all its was Fredric’s arena, unable to be robbed of his duly earned credit he turns to Mandrayk who stands by the observation window motionless in his eerie fashion*

“ That one seems to believe you are in charge of this operation, care to enlighten me?”

“ Who can say, I got the impression he didn’t like me very much during processing, and as you remember I was responsible for the development of the arena traps… Maybe he can recognise my handy work? I tend to leave an impression on people”

* Mandrayk gives his trade mark sharp tooth grin, Fredric’s takes it lightly and laughs, after all it was true Mandrayk had help with many of the arena’s systems from arena to security…Mandrayk had been a blessing indeed…he made a mental note to make sure the fighter now who they work for later, he rests back and continues to watch ‘his’ creation, a mainframe worker speaks*

“ Where down to 76 fighters sir, and are current broadcast hits are 47453 and credit transaction is doubling by the second sir…current balance 75,000 and increasing”

* Mandrayk thinks to himself…Rasper was going to be a problem his lust for his life was apparent and so winning his trust maybe difficult, he would have to keep his alliances secret until he had complete his main task, of which those credits played a key part. He had to keep any reference or evidence to his involvement secret until the finale stages or else all he work for would be ruined and this meant Rasper and Owen would have to be kept in the dark for a while…he looks back to the arena killing floor, but until then he’d enjoy the show*

Owen reached the maze and stared at the entrance. "If Rasper is there it won't help us if i get lost in there to, i need a way to get up and view the place from the top," Owen thought to himself. Owen felt something watching him, he turned to see a floating camera droid. "I've been on camera the entire time," Owen said to himself. Owen flipped off the camera hoping that Federic would see it. He then ran at the camera and jumped, he hanged on to it and pulled himself up to the top and sat down on the small camera droid. It was uncomfortable and the droid wouldn't be able to support the weight of Owen and his armor for long so he had to move fast. "Now how do i control this thing," Owen said under his breath and then the idea struck him, the droid was programmed to follow him, so if he put his hand in front of the sensor and moved it to where he wanted to go it should go there. He tested out his idea, success. Owen moved the droid off over the huge maze, and he fired a flare into the air. Hopefully Rasper might see it and think it was him, making it easier for Owen to find him.

Rasper was getting increasingly annoyed with this maze, he was tired of walking in circles and the worst part was that he possibly was not walking in circles but he would not have known the difference. Suddenly he herd a pop, he looked up and saw a red flare in the sky burning. "Oh crap did I set off another trap" Rasper stood still waiting for something to happen but nothing did. "Could be a distress flare but who is gonna call for help in this place." Rasper then suddenly saw something slowly flying around in the sky, it looked like some sort droid but....was there some one riding it?

"Better not take any chances" he thought. Rasper held his Repeater up and opened fire on the unknown droid.

“Oh Crap,” Owen yelled as he jumped off the droid and the blaster bolts hit the droid and exploded. Owen hit the ground with a hard thud. “If that was Rasper, I’m gonna kill him,” Owen said as he rubbed his head. Owen got up when a strange beeping noise alerted him, he looked around for the source of the sound. He found a small device on the ground it seemed to have come from the droid that was just destroyed. He picked it up and a computerized voice said, SELF DESTRUCT. “Crap,” Owen yelled again and threw the device into air, in midair it exploded. Owen rubbed the dirt off his hands and picked up his mini-gun that fell on the ground. As he picked it up he noticed that the barrel was completely bent, “Worthless piece of garbage,” Owen said he threw it to the ground. Only weapons he had left was a small blaster pistol and knife, enough to kill whoever shot down his droid. He yelled as loud as he could, along with the armor’s voice amplifier, “WHO EVER SHOT DOWN THE DROID IS GONNA WISH THEY DIDN’T VERY SOON.” Owen turned off the amplifier and moved quickly through the maze to the direction the blaster bolt came from.

Mandrayk watched with renewed vigour and the conflict became fierce. All over the arena blood was being shed in a master piece of war fare…and all for the entertainment of the viewers. Fredric was once again annoyed at the insult thrust upon him Owen had been less subtle, and his finger had caused a little outburst from Fredric. Mandrayk continues to watch the final stages of this round was near and when only 5 fighter were lefts standing the round would be over the combatants are subdued thanks to the implants Mandrayk had designed and then are prepared for the finales…but their was plenty of time, Mandrayk watched the maze with a new interest as now both of the GTC members had entered the maze, and to Fredric’s amusement Owens attempt of contact had be thwarted by his own partner and now they stalked one another in the maze…this should prove interesting Mandrayk though to himself.

Rasper saw that he hit the object and it went out of control and fell into the distance soon followed by a loud crash and smoke. Rasper saw that it seemed to come form the outside so maybe it was closer to the end. Rasper began to jog there with his heavy Repeater in his hands.

Owen ran with blood lust, his knife in one hand and a blaster pistol in the other. OWen heard something and backed against a wall and looked around the corner, he saw human jogging his way with a heavy repeater in hand. Owen prepared to jump the man when he the person turned his way.

Mandaryk guides a camera driod too observe this very intresting event unfolding...this could be a serious hinderment to his plans he needed them alive

The man finally turned the corner and Owen jumped on top of him. Owen began to pull down his knife on to the man's head when he noticed who it was, Rasper. "Well, looks like we are united again, sorry about almost stabbing you to death." Owen got up and patted his hands together. Then Owen noticed another camera droid was watching them. He began to speak in his loud speaker, "Who ever is watching us, ethier help us or I make your camera go boom."

Rasper pushed Owen off and looked at the camera that Owen had spoke to,

"I say we just shoot it now, im not here for anybody's enjoyment"

Mandrayk quickly type in a code, it wouldn’t be seen for a while thanks to the virus. Things were starting move forward and a mistake her could spell disaster, but that was not an option.

The camera droid suddenly lowered it self until it was eye level, it was different from the other larger one this was smaller and was clearly a smaller recon droid model. It singular red lenses eye focused on the two and began to run a identification scan. They matched…it played its message.

“ Greetings I will serve as your guide through the arena however due to limited power resources I will be able to offer information only as I have been reprogrammed to serve you temporarily until my master collects me… this is offered by a interested party who has plans for you, plans that will lead you against Fredrick…which will prove most beneficial to you my master ensures”

It waited their response

Mandrayk turned from the monitor. He'd severed the link with the main hub system to the droid so it would perform its new task it would just seen like it had been damaged after all they lost hundred of camera’s during the fights and so one disappearing would cause a problem. The droid would hopefully serve them well he’d reprogrammed it to serve them for a time until it was no longer needed…they would need its help the arena still held many more surprises for them.

Rasper turned to Owen

"I still say we shoot it, why when it comes to people like us Owen does everyone we meet have plans. Its always plans this and plans that every body we run into always seems to have a goddamn plan that involves us"

"I say we make our own plans Rasper, and the first step in my plan is getting out of this damn arena," Owen said. Owen went up to the droid and said, "Now, tell us how to get out."

*The droid floated and observed them as the two discussed wither to destroy it, it answers in its computerised tone*

“Of course sir”

*The droid quickly identified a “safe” route out of the maze it spins about and makes it way down the one of the many blood smeared corridors of the maze *

“Sir I would advice you consecrate at eliminating the competition the arena is impossible to escape unless help is offered for the outside, which my master will offer when the time is right”

Mean while Mandrayk sat down in the one of the seating spaces in the observation box this was all the help he could offer at this point.

“ 68 fighters remaining sir”

Well it wouldnt be that hard they just need to kill 56 harden galdiators so they could go to the next round, he settled in to enjoy the show.

"Droid fly above and locate the fighters," Owen said, "Then relay there movments and locations to us. Make this round go a lot faster then Fredric wants, which means less money for him."

"Yes, sir." The Droid replied as it flew up into the air.

Soon enough small red dots started blinking on his wrist-comp and the droid spoke into there com-links giving exact locations of the fighters.

"Time to get to work," Owen said happily and loaded his blaster and took off in a run. This would be over in no time.



(((OOC: This music is being played in the background while Owen kills stuff.)))

Rasper did similar to Owen and ran off to two nearby red dots. He rounded a corner and saw what looked like some old ruins of a temple. He approached cautiously and entered. It was dark but Rasper heard noise in a nearby room. Rasper approached and saw two fighter battling it out in a Melee duel. One was a trandoshan and the other a Kaleesh warrior. Rasper walked into view but he was unnoticed to the two fighters. He calmly raised his repeater and fired upon the fighters killing both of them. The collapsed next to each other and Rasper walked out of the ruins.
