Open RP: Battle of Dathomir

The forces of GTC sneaked and creeped through the dense fog and tall grass of Dathomir, heading for the massive volcano that spewed out ash from the top. the ash blocked out the sun and had let most of the once green grassland dead now. the tall grass we sneaked through were coverd in thick ash that rubbed off on us.
the dark were not like a typical cloudy winter day or even a normal night. it was a strange thick darkness that almost felt suffocating and even made us all feel a tad claustrofobic.

we were heading for the pirate base located at the foot of volcano. it were most likely crawling with pirates, thugs and mercs. but then again it would be ignorante if they didnt protect this base very well. becouse from what ouer intelligence agents had reported this base would be houseing large quantities of highly valuable spices, minerals and much much more, and not to forget a large arsinal of weaponry. another reason why we should be even more cautious.

we were now getting close to the foot of the volcano and ouer commander raised his hand, indicateing that we had come to a halt. a voice sounded in ouer electronic ear plugs. ''Allright folks. we are getting very close to the base now. this is were we devide into, Alpha, Bravo and Charlie squad's. Alpha team will move to the left of the base, Bravo will stay on course and Charlie will move to the right side of the base so that Alpha and Charlie will outflank them.''
''But before we head out i want to make sure that everyone is here and that the com link is working.''

''Gár, Smuggler in Bravo Squad reporting''

"Owen Keez, Trooper, reporting from Alpha Team, my com link is working loud and clear. ...over."

Owen rised out of the mist wearing a ghillie suit. He crouched down and pulled out his silenced blaster rifle. He was ready when ever they gave the order to move up.

(Rasper is not here, he never was here and you dident see anything)

The Com link went silent for a moment. then the Commander spoke.

''Allright gentlemen, lets move out. Bravo move slowly towards the base. Alpha you move left and Charlie you move right. stay low so that we arrent spotted. remember to report back when you are in position.''

The teams moved out to their destinations.

it wasent long before Bravo team reported back.

''Bravo team reporting in. we are in position and ready for further instruktions. Bravo out.''

Owen moved silently through the bush. He reached his checkpoint and contaced the rest of the other groups.

Owen looking through the scope of his silenced rifle saw 4 tango's sitting up top of a disguised tree fort with sniper rifles facing in the direction of Bravo Squad. Owen aimed down his sight and focused on staying still. He held his breath and made his shot, 1 in the head, 2 in the chest, 3 in the chest, 4 in the head. All killing shots.

"This is Alpha Team, 4 Sniping Tangos down, I repeat 4 sniping tangos down." Owen moved down a small gully and continued to the next check point.

''Allright men lets move in. Bravo straight ahed for main door. Alpha ur going in through the left entrence and Charlie through the right. try and stay hidden for aslong as possible. we want this to be a surprise attack.''

all 3 teams slowly creept through the mist and stayed low in the tall grass.
only vage sounds from crickets could be heard.

Bravo team were now getting close to the main entrence. it was sealed shut but with a small computer at the side to enter the access codes. there was no one guarding the door from the outside. maby they were standing inside. we moved up to the door and stopped there untill all teams were in position. some men stoog guard, aiming down each side of the building and some aiming at the door.
slowly we whisperd. ''Bravo team is at the den, ready to move in, over''

''Charlie is at the cave, ready to move in, over''

Owen and his team moved to the left entrance of the building. Owen postined two men back in the bush while the other four (including Owen) moved up to get a closer look. Four guards stood guard at the entrance, and another two were on top of the building on a balcony type platform. Owen positioned the men by him to get ready to move in when he gave the go. He radioed back to the two men he had in the bush, "Two men on a balcony above the door, take em out when i move in."

Ok Alpha is in position Owen radioed.

''Allright men this is it. on the count of 3 we will bash through the doors and go into the Rancors mouth. remember to have your squad mates back and dont hesitate.''

''1, 2,''

i looked over at Davik and saied.

''Davik could you perhaps slice through computer terminal and open the door?''

''ill cover your back and the rest of the squad aswell.''

Owen gave the signal, the two men in the back quickly took down the two snipers, and the others moved in like a swat team and eliminated the others. Owen gave the message, "All clear, gonna open this door, I'll let you know when it's open, Owen out." Owen looked at his men and gave the hand signal to hide the bodies. While they did that Owen moved to the door and looked at it closely, then studied the control panel. "This is old, stuff, nothing I've ever used before, only one thing to do," Owen thought to himself. He took out his knife and stabbed it into the control panel. It was followed by a lot of sparks and then it went dead. Owen pulled on the door and it moved slightly. "Men, give me a hand with this door," Owen said to the troops. They pulled on the huge door as it slowly grinded open. The door was now open. "My door, is open, My team is moving in." Owen gave the signal and the team all went inside and closed the door back shut. "Where to now, Gar," Owen asked.

'' 3!!
Allright folks. lets move in, shoot to kill and ask questions later. we are not here to take prissinors ot take anny casulties. the only ones who will be takeing casulties are the ones at the outher end of ouer blasters. so lets get to it men and stay allert.''

Davik had only just rewired the door to open before it was blasted out from the inside.
one of the soldiers in Bravo squad unfortunatly were standing in the path of the door and were bashed down, and out from the dark tunnel were the entres led from a massive creature came. it only just barely were able to fith through the narrown entrence and before the Bravo squad an enourmus bull rancor were standing.
it send out a ear defening roar that cuased the earth to tremble beneth us.
i looked over at Davik with a glimt of fear and overwelment in my eyes. this was a talsk none of us could have seen comming.
quickly i pressed the backup button sending a video feat to ouer general in hope that he might send backup.
all of the men backed up to get out of the rancors reach and then we opend fire. countless of blaster shots hit it in the chest, neck and face but it were barely scratched, it only seemed to agitate the beast.
i ran for cover near Davik.

''we are screwed davik, are ur shots not affecting it either?''

Owen and his men were moving through the halls of the complex. There was minimum resistance on this side of the complex it seemed. All the sudden Owen and his men heard the blood curling roar of a Rancor. Owen immediately radioed the other groups, "What's your status, This is Owen Keez, I repeat what is your status." Owen began to worry when he didn't get an answer.
