Started downloading the demo now I wonder how much gameplay they put in it

The game's totally awesome and I really like the Egyptians their special ability is nice, their special building is totally awesome and I really like the chariots, basically move 5 archers for cheap, they're great for those kill barbarians quests the city states give you

It's a shame it's so short though it's really difficult to take a capital city in 100 turns... Was two turns from taking Rome when the demo ended last time (managed to get into war with Egypt, Italy and Germany). I was leading on gold, happiness, military and was third on literacy when it ended though so yay me

I just wanted to conquer one tiny little capital city... is that too much to ask for?

edit: Ah stupid Elizabeth, agusta gave me like 5 cities being all nice. Then i find out those 5 cities were surrounded by english forces and at least half the map away from where my main forces are. Damn it elizabeth.

edit/update 2: minuteman are unlocked, time to unleash the american reveloution among england!

From 6PM my time on friday I will be free until the early hours, Saturday morning I probably won't be around but will then probably be on midday until midnight (with a couple of breaks).
Sunday I will not be around as I will be going to Ascot for the races, corporate box, free campagne, free food, whiskey for 50p... heaven.

The large maps are a bit too... large though I'm 350 turns or so into my game and I've only encountered two other civilizations xD One I've conquered I'll probably either get a tech win or the time will run out xD Playing as Babylon

Tell me about it. I'm playing on the biggest map setting, earth like. I've ran into a bunch of civilizations, conquered most on the old worlds side, except russia. Then, my boats find out theres a bunch of other ones on the Americas. I can't rember what turn I'm on but I think I'm around 400.

I have conquered the entire north america and a good part of the south too but I've still only come across two civilizations

Silly Englishmen tried to fight me with spearmen when I had musketeers... kinda funny


Started a new game with Aztecs on a smaller map too just to try something different, haven't gotten very far with them yet.

I've been playing the same game for around 7 hours. Is that to long?

7 hours depends what speed you are playing. If you are playing standard speed on a 'huge' map then you are looking about 10 hours to get to 2050AD I think.

Currently playing Japan on a huge Earth Map on..... Marathon speed. 250 turns and got hardly anywhere All I know is everyone dislikes Caesar.

So multiplayer game this afternoon, around 12.30pm my time? (may be a bit later depending when i get back)

sadly i wont be purchasing this game as it uses steam which i am growing to hate more and more each day if i pay 50 bucks for a game the data i need to play damn well better be on the disc not somehting i have to download gigabytes of data before i can play.
