So todays update was not so much about TOR, but a big deal (at least to me) nonetheless.
Click HereDrew Karpyshyn revealed that his new book is going to be titled
Revan, and would quite obviously focus on Revan and what he did after KOTOR. I'm a kinda happy and sad about this at the same time. While it is awesome to know that Revan's story is actually going to be fleshed out, this also means that the possibility of KOTOR 3 ever happening pretty much went to zero. I had held out before that down the line after TOR had been out a while they would go back and make a KOTOR 3 to fill in the period from KOTOR 2 to TOR, but that seems like very improbably now.
Anyway though, still definitely something to be excited about. I haven't read any of Karpyshyn's stuff but I've heard good things about the Bane books so hopefully it turns out well. There is the problem though that Revan will be set in stone now and this might anger some KOTOR fans. I'm not as upset because my Revan is pretty similar to the canon one, but I'm sure others won't be as content.
He also talks about other characters playing a large part in the book and the ones he mentioned (Bastila, Exile, T3, and Canderous) are all good characters so I'm happy about that. Like I said, I'm kinda dissapointed, but this still sounds like it could be a great read.
