SW:TOR Update - 30/04/10 - Biographies, Inhabitants, Darth Malgus

Well lucky us, we have another bumper update this week in the run up to E3 (46 days away at posting) so its is all very exciting.

Firstly we have some new Biographies:

Darth Malgus - The Empire
Mandalore - Independents
General Garza - The Republic

Second we have something that a lot of people have been engerly waiting for, 'Inhabitants' has been added to the Holonet:

Humanoids:
Gormak
Trandoshan

Creatures:
Salky Hound
Gundark

Droids:
X2-C3 - Imperial Astromech
AR-34 - Enforcer Droid

Finally this week we have a new novel called Deceived, this will tell the story of Darth Malgus due for release at the end of the year.

So plently of stuff this week, this should keep us happy until next week. I really hope Bioware plan to keep up with this pace now, it will bring many fans back to the game who may have left and a lot of new fans too.

I like the Gormak look. Very Turian-like. The Turians were my favorite alien race in Mass Effect.

Also, I'm glad they identified Darth Malgus. Was sick to death of people saying 'ZOMG it's Malak!' even though he is long dead and 'It's clearly Angral', even though Angral at the point of the Jedi Temple sacking was still with the fleet.

I'm not sure. I hope so, at least in Nar Shadaas' case. Without Nar Shadaa, it would feel as if a major area for Smugglers and Bounty Hunters was missing.

Well the thing about that in Nar Shadaars case is it is very similar to coruscant and I think to include it would just make a world very similar to coruscant. Not that i still wouldent like it but beside for it being a little darker and grimy'er I cant see a big difference between the two.

Yeah interesting update. Not sure those are gonna be playable species though. As Gormaks hate both republic and sith.

Yeah I wasnt saying they were. Im just saying that im glad that we are at least hearing something on the species front.

Finally a grand update. Its good to finally see some species, even if they are non-playable. I'm thinking some of the droids and creatures may act as companions.

well IF, thats a big if they were playable surely the Gormak would start in Voss meaning that your starting planet isn't only chosen by what class you play. This will mean more story options possibly like the start of Dragon Age: Origins, perhaps I am hoping too much as i doubt Gormak will be playable.

Im liking general Garza. Im glad that as a Trooper we have a higher up General who can be ruthless and most likely she will be involved with your character making some of thoes crucial decisions that will shape the story for you.
