| I saw a post on facebook by Sean Dahlberg regarding a new Developer Diary about the combat in SW:TOR. Not sure if this is the update that they are planning for today, but nonetheless, it is kick ass. The link!A number of things to take out of this is a bunch of new unseen abilities, Jedi and Sith finally wearing capes (about time), as well as showing all new armour for Bounty Hunters. They also showed an NPC being killed near a speeder, which might mean mounts and vehicles. Only thing I'm not too impressed with at the moment are the lightsabers. The blades look to hard and solid, instead of that lighter tinge they have in the movies. Also, the new abilities look fairly bad (graphics wise), but that is probably just because they are still in production. I'm also really liking the lightsaber combat at the moment. The lightsabers are actually spinning out to block blaster shots, not like in KotOR where essentially the blaster shots actually moved to where the lightsaber would go. The lightsabers are actually clashing together really well, not matter what move someone is pulling off. I'm really liking the look of all combat right now. | |

| I thought the lightsaber looked a lot better from what they've shown earlier. Not that we'll be doing much besides killing things with lightsabers.

| It was good but not enough IA or smuggler for my liking. I know they mostly want to show lightsaber clashes and big explosions but we need combat too!
Trooper looks good though in combat (as you would expect) but who gave the female trooper the massive gun?!?
Nice to see the bounty hunter jetpack/charge move. Shows that other classes can close down gaps quickly not just force users. | |

| All I can say is, that was awsome. Its great to see that combat will not be just the same motion of swinging a lightsaber and theres variation to the attacks. I am liking this game more and more. Before I was not too fussed when it came out, but now I want to play it bad. I do agree that they seemed to show a lot of Force user, BH and troopers and not much smugglers. That was the only downside for me, but it was still awsome. | |

| The was a very good video. Combat is definitely looking very good and Im especially impressed by the way the lightsaber combat flows. I only wish they had shown more of Imperial Agents as they only got like 2 clips. | |

| Nothing short of amazing. The combat looks truly amazing. My biggest worry in any MMO is that combat will be boring, stale and repetitive. It does not look like this will be a problem for TOR. As others have said, i personally think the lightsabers look a little off somehow. The trooper, some good stuff, but please don't make it necessary for troopers to wield increasingly large guns. If i make one, I want him to have a normal assault-rifle sized weapon, regardless of his level.
And more Smuggler action please! Ever since the initial smuggler announcement I have been suffering withdrawal symptoms. | |
