Aye, I saw this earlier. Frankly, I'm not going to believe anything that is said until BioWare specifically states it right from their mouths. This game has been worked on since 2005. They announced it in 2008. They will not have a game being in development for six years before releasing it. And it would have been a stupid move to have them announce a game three years before it is actually released. Someone in the thread on the SW:TOR forums posted this:
"This coming from the same EA CEO that quickly retracted his statement that Tor would be using a "micro-transactions" based subscription model, shortly after this news hit the net there was a worldwide outcry against it and EA responded with there is currently no chosen sub model for Tor it was a "misunderstanding"."
So, I'm not believing this EA CEO, and I don't think any of you should either.
Also, we have to remember that Game Testing sign ups were in Quarter Three of last year. You wouldn't expect for the Developers to begin sorting out Game Testing when it was around a year and a half away, especially since BioWare said that the Open Beta would begin a month before the game release.
I just feel that it's a far too long time to be developing a game.
