Nice... distractions can be a good thing.

While I did play as female characters in WoW, that was only cause most of the males where all muscular and macho, and thats just not me. I'll probably start with a male smuggler in this game.
I do find it strange though that all footage has been showing human characters only. You could only be human in kotor so I'm starting to wonder if its going to be the same here. That would cause a large amount of fan-boy rage

They've already stated that there are going to be multiple races in the game, but are unable to actually announce any specific races at the moment.

Ok, thats cool, but I would have though they would have announced another race by now.

They also said that once all the conventions like Gamescom, Comic Con and PAX are over, they'll start releasing all the big stuff and things we've wanted to know about, so I guess very soon they'll start telling us more about the game and races and such.

Is there still no release date for TOR?

Nope, nothing at all. Right now, with all the knowledge we know, it could come out next Tuesday or in 10 years. However, I think it would be safe to assume that it will come out some time next year or maybe early 2011. My best bet would be next year.
