Favorite Movies

Well we have had books and bands its time for movies. Just post your five fav movies of all time (or more if you want we are flexable here).

Of course there is one rule i will add. No star wars. As i am sure that will dominate quite a few peoples lists. so fav films minus star wars.

Lion King, Toy Story, A journey through Fairyland, Aladdin, Fantasia(&2000), The road to El Dorado, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, etc…

Favorite movies....Star Wars, Spaceballs, In Bruges, Fight Club, Serenity, Pulp Fiction, Willow, LOTOR, Evil Dead series, Iron Man......i think thats it for now.

well if I had to list 5 I guess I should list the 5 I said on Facebook:

1.LOTR: The Two Towers (Saw 5 times at the cinema, would gladly do so again)
2.Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
3.Casablanca
4.Batman (the Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson version)
5.Wall Street (the first one only, Shia LaBeouf is an abomination)

This is a good thread to revive Totekem. Only myself and Darc have posted on here from current members so will be nice to read other people's lists. Though if you read the opening post carefully it says no Star Wars re-reading the replies it seems most ignored this lol.

And I honestly don't like Swedish movies much, but there are three that are absolutely amazing, the two up there and Ondskan beside the old classics which I haven't seen yet >.<

I'd be amazed if anyone here have seen half of these movies or even heard of half of them(rounded up)

The first one must be 'Let the right on in' looking at it which I have seen and love all thanks to you Violet

Seen the crow, I enjoyed it but all people seem to say about it is thats its great because the actor died while filming.

The other three no idea so you are right that I haven't seen half of them

I saw The Crow like 10 times before someone told me he died so I just like it I think :3 Our teacher showed us a scene from it in... middle school... no... 7th grade I think during an art class and I just remembered that scene and found the movie a few years later and thought it was absolutely amazing :3 I mean the acting is great and all but it's the atmosphere that's amazing and the cinematography and pretty much everything

The Crow is a pretty cool movie. I had an ex that really liked it, so I was introduced to the film that way. I was told about the death, but I thought it was a good enough film to not have to ride on that. (I suppose you could almost say the same about the Dark Knight, even if Heath Ledger's death wasn't actually related to filming?)

My list would be:-

2)Pitch Black
3)Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain)
4)(Insert any Indiana Jones film here...apart from that Crystal Skull malarky)
5)V for Vendetta
6)Chungking Express (重庆森林)

The first two hint that I'm a massive sci-fi nerd. I totally am. I was very tempted to fill the whole list with sci fi classics like 2001:A Space Odyssey, Alien(s)/Predator(s) and Silent Running.

Blade Runner ALMOST made my list but the tie breaker was that I've seen Heathers waaaay more times than I've seen Blade Runner, and I felt I should have one comedy on there

Also... Silent Running was amazing :3 Never liked any of the Indiana Jones movies though... same with James Bond movies.... Movies that most people like and I just watch and think... "well... that was okay I guess" :3

Speaking of old Sci-fi movies, watched Event Horizon(not that old but still!) for the first time a few days ago and wow... that was awesome... it's kinda like Hellraiser in space O.o

Yeah, I loved Event Horizon - a very odd but awesome movie. And it has Sam Neill, who looks strange in films without dinosaurs. I guess I like the Indiana Jones movies since I grew up watching them, so its more that there's a lot of memory association there.

And of course Blade Runner has some killer lines in it (the "...those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain" quote, and the last line of the film, too! (which I've spoiler'd just in case)

I think I got a bit too attached to the poor robots in Silent Running, so sad!

I've seen the Crow as well, and I though it was good, regardless if Brandon Lee died in making it.

Its hard for me to put my favorite movies into a list, but here goes;

1.Scott Pilgrim vs The World
2.Hook
3.The Castle
4.The Shawshank Redemption

Well that's all I can think of for now, They're all movies that I could watch again and again, and not get bored. I may think up some more.
