Something useful for once. It gives us more details on Flashpoints, it gives us gameplay, some higher level looks of characters, and it's just cool.
This video also gives more then just info on a flashpoint. It unintentionally gives more details on several things, like cutscenes, creatures in game, what some enemies look like, several powers of the different Republic classes. It also gives answer to one of the things I've been wondering about and thats roles in a party. It shows healer, tankers, attackers, ect. This is by far the best thing they have released.
Spoiler:
Also, is it just me or does the green dude sound like Winnie The Pooh?
The trooper in this was awesome and was kicking ass left and right, but I'm just being bias I guess
The suites that the Trooper and especially the Smuggler had were really awesome looking. I love how the robe the smuggler had moved with him.

Aye, I agree. Loving the look of everything. Combat, graphics, just all around gameplay. Superb. I also now have the feeling that the "Jedi Prisoner" is Revan. Went into the Unknown Regions to fight the Sith, got captured, and is now held in a sort of stasis, like Oteg was saying. After all, he said the Jedi Prisoner is around 300 years old, which was when the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War was going on, and Revan was playing a pivotal role in it all.

I absolutely loved it. Since I am planning to be a scoundrel, it was exciting to see my chosen advanced class in action. Looks like I could have a lot of fun with it! I also liked his gear

Ok first thing, they said that they role a number between 1 - 100 to decide who talks, but when the force ghost appears the trooper has 150.
Ok and that is it, couldn't see any other problems lol, it really looks great. Love it how the trooper and smuggler take on the toughest oppoent, woohoo. Also good to see the scoundrel in action, though I should be gunslinger, its nice to see the other AC.

Brilliant video, love what were seeing already. Was pleasantly surprised by the classes and have to admit seeing smuggler doing some solo healing has made me very happy doctor hopefully IA will also be able to do this and well means this doctor can actually do some healing. Have to admit was great to see other classes, trooper looked alot better than I've been giving it credit for. Also have to admit up till now have been a little worried about none force user healing but this has strengthened my faith in it so should be happy to fulfil my role as doc when ever I can and as for game play well lots great so far and story was quite interesting nice bit of intrigue already...but I'm rabbling
conclusion great to see classes and game play ssoooo looking forward to this game

I don't think Bounty Hunters, Troopers, Jedi Knights or Sith Warriors can play a healing role. They may be able to heal themselves with medpacs or something, but they're more of the tanking/DPS roles of the group.

I don't think anyone besides Consulars, Smugglers, Inquisitors, and Agents, can heal well. But I think they've said our companion characters would have healing abilities.

IGN: As development continues, would you be able to provide any details as to how the Bounty Hunter's changed? How have his primary skills evolved and what tend to be the most effective skills once a large amount has been unlocked?
Zoeller: Here are some examples of recent changes to the class: the introduction of the Bodyguard skillset which adds a healing and support role to the class [and] the addition of talent choices to create synergy between blasters and tech attacks. There aren't really 'most effective' skills for any class, as what is effective varies between encounters, different builds and whether or not you are in a group or not.

Interesting, haven't heard of this till now. I'm not sure how extensive this healing will be though. I would assume that if the Bounty Hunter can heal, then the trooper would to.

Yeah this is the only site I've heard anything about it. How effective the heals are remain in question.
I never really thought of an antisocial bounty hunter as a healing type, only thing I can think of why they did this is in the interest of class balancing somehow.
I don'y know , I just thought after reading this, if the bounty hunter has a heal support role, maybe all the others did.
One of the unique things about the setup is that it is a Republic Flashpoint and you have it set up so the Smuggler is the main healer for the group, and the Consular is throwing rocks and beating things up with telekinesis. Making sure that all the healers are viable is something that you are showing here. We also heard that because of game testing the Bounty Hunter and the Trooper are now getting healing trees. Are all these trees comparable? Could a Bounty Hunter come in and do the same thing the Smuggler is doing in Taral V in regards to being the main healer in a Flashpoint?
Yeah. We are always adjusting the game with play test feedback. We want people to easily be able to get a healer into their group because one of the problems with forming a group is making sure you have the right balance and if there aren't enough healers, then you're going to wait a long time before you can get into a Flashpoint. And that is not very fun.
We wanted to make sure that you get that healer as soon as you want to. We're looking at making the Trooper and Bounty Hunter to be able to spec into a healer. It will probably stay that way until ship, but you never know. We're doing lots of balance changes and modifications as we continue to balance the game and get feedback, which will probably continue until after we launch the game. We probably won't make any big changes like taking a class from being a healer to not being a healer. But yeah, we're always tweaking things.

As much as I like versatility, I just don't think Troopers or Bounty Hunters would make great healers. They should have healing options perhaps, just not be able to be a primary healing class. Of course, there are Trooper Medics and stuff, but I think I would be more comfortable with a Jedi Consular healing me Troopers should stick to destroying stuff, not fixing it.

I understand, I just think you might change your mind one night when you want to do a challenging flashpoint, and there isn't a consular in sight for four hours or more.
I don't want to be a healer either though unless it's a necessity.
Strange though... I wonder are we going to be able to rearrange our skill trees and respec on the fly for situations like that?
In the past games I played, you had to pay a lot to respec.
Healers are the main problem, but sometimes it's hard to find a needed tank to.

Fortunately for us, Smuggler Scoundrels are designed to be pretty strong healers, as was shown in the flashpoint, so we won't need to worry about Consulars there. And assuming that BioWare wasn't to keep everything balanced, they'll probably make an Advanced Class of the Imperial Agent to have pretty strong healing capabilities. They're probably doing it to please people like us, who prefer not to have to use force users when teaming up, or to make it easier, like Deirbhile said, in case there isn't a Consular/Inquisitor around for ages, and you need someone to play the role of the healer.
