Galactic Trade Commission Empire Guild

The Empire side of the GTC has now been created and its title is "GalacticTradeCommission." As was stated in the Republic thread, having the name with spaces was one character too long, so that is a bit unfortunate. I am the guild leader of the Empire guild seeing as I am the only Empire Vigo at the moment.

So all Imperial Agents and Bounty Hunters of the GTC search "GalacticTradeCommission" in the guild search option, or otherwise search "DarkApocalypse" in the member search option. Send in your applications, and I will accept you as soon as possible. In addition, on your SW:TOR accounts, you are now able to update your guild preferences, which include your play style, the server you will be playing on, and most importantly, which class you will be playing.

So they are implementing guilds prior to release? Seems nice of them to even attempt such a feat. I figured they would just release the game and let the community worry about forming their own guilds in game.

Has this been done before? or am I behind?

I'm not exactly the person most up to date on what features other MMOs have, no I do not know either. Perhaps someone else can answer that.
