| I'm just curious if these are who we think will win, or who we think should win. Because for me at least, those would be different. | |

| I predict a clean sweep for Toy Story 3 in every category. Who cares if they aren't nominated, I stand by my statement. | |

| I've never had much interest in the Oscars, I'm quite certain none of my top20 favorite movies have ever even been nominated... well maybe one... somewhere... It's not impossible... Still the winners are often at least half-decent though I mean I did enjoy Inception ('twas good ) and Toy Story 3 and How To Tame Your Dragon were both excellent (the latter of which was superiour according to meee ) Wont try to predict anything since I've seen less than half the nominated movies this year (I play to see two of them sometime though...) | |

| Thank you Volar and Rasper for posting your selections, Darc look forward to seeing yours. Violet just pick names out of a hat then. Aramis: No, just no. My selections will probably be up by tonight, though some are hard choices but be sure that Natalie Portman will be getting my vote for Best Actress. | |

| Best Picture- King's Speech
Best Director- David Fincher
Best Actor- Colin Firth
Best Actress- Natalie Portman (if she doesn't win I might have to kill the whole Academy)
Best Supporting Actor- Christian Bale
Best Supporting Actress- Helena Bonham Carter
Best Animation- Toy Story 3
EDIT: Oh and I would just like to add... how in the hell is Inception not nominated for Best Editing? I understand they're both amazing films but The Kings Speech and The Fighter were hardly editing heavy movies and I have no idea how they could be nominated ahead of inception.

| Ok finally here they are:
Best Picture - The Social Network
Best Director - Darren Aronofsky
Best Actor - Colin Firth
Best Actress - Natalie Portman
Best Supporting Actor - Christian Bale
Best Supporting Actress - Jacki Weaver (going for the outsider as it was a surprise she was nominated)
Best Animation - Toy Story 3
As you can see I think The King's Speech will be snubbed as it has done so well in the other awards, but Colin Firth will not be overlooked.

| I can understand The Kings Speech not winning... but i really hope its not the Social Network. I know I picked Fincher as best director but i think they will give that to him as more of a career award. The Social Network was a fine and entertaining movie, but I really don't see the massive praise laid upon it and certainly can't see it being a better movie then Kings Speech, Black Swan, Inception, 127 Hours(which I actually haven't seen) or even the Fighter. | |

| Its all about the number of gifts academy members get, and social network will probably be pumping it out to try and get that top award. I hope it doesn;t get it but think it will. | |

You're probably right. I guess I'm okay with it either winning Best Director or Best Picture, but please not both!
