A new bioware game is going to be announced at this years VGAs. From the very small clip of it I can't think of anything. Possible Mass Effect spin off? The armor and the gun kind of look mass effectish.

I hope it is what Violet suggested. I've always been a huge fan of first contact wars between humans and aliens. Definitely looks like something to do with Mass Effect, though. Hopefully, if it is, it will revolve less around one pivotal character and more about a massive war and the soldiers that fight in it.

I'm not too sure about this now. Mass Effect being a shooter RPG alone kind of lowered its appeal to me (although I admit that it was necessary for it to be a real-time shooter rather than an RPG style shooter to make it more action-packed), but having an RPG turn into a multiplayer-shooter doesn't really appeal that much to me. Hopefully there'll be a very solid singleplayer aspect to it.

I mean I do understand where you're coming from there, but I still think it could be good. Though I do like shooters as well as RPGs so I don't know if that makes me biased. I kinda think that if there going to do a multiplayer shooter they need to go all out as I dont think something in the middle would be as successful.

AC: Brotherhood managed to do a 22 hour campaign, with fun multi player in about a year. Though they could reuse a lot of stuff. So if ubisoft can do it, I'm sure bioware will be able to. Not to mention it would be almost 2 years assuming it would come out in the fall of 2011.

Well I hope they dont release anything rushed. When I buy a new game I expect a new experience not a recycled one. Like in Assasins creed 2 a lot of the kill animations were recycled over from 1 which I found a little annoying

Speaking of AC Brotherhood.... is it worth it(assuming you did get it)? I've heard some differing opinions on it so would be interested in what you think.

I haven't beat it yet, but I'm enjoying it. Sending your recruits off on missions or calling them into aid you I found fun. If you liked Assassin's Creed 2 you'll probably like this.
I've played a bit of multi-player, and I found it fun. Only have played one mode though, manhunt. You're in like two teams of fours. One teams hunts and the other is trying not to get hunted and you really don't have any weapons, then once that round is over you switch sides. I found it fun, the other modes I haven't played but my brother tried some enjoyed them.
And it does have a leveling system, close to CoD. As you level up you get new perks you can choose and new weapons. As to how extensive it is, I can't tell you. I'm only level 6, I think, and have only unlocked a smoke bomb, so there seems to be a lot to unlock. (I know you can unlock a throwing knives, one guy kept killing me with them.)
I'd say buy it, or at least rent it if you don't have the money. I am a big Assassin's Creed fan though.

Aye, that does look freakin' awesome. I really like the idea of having a big conflict set on Earth. Shepard vs. Technologically superior aliens robot dudes who are almost certain of being victorious? They don't stand a chance. I wouldn't have minded playing as a different character than Shepard in this sort of conflict, but naturally it would follow Shepard. You can't have Mass Effect without playing him after all.

Great trailer and of course I love the Mass Effect games so I'm super excited about this.
I'm curious though as to why Shepherd turns and walks away at the end. Is this for dramatic effect or is he actually turning his back on Earth?
Bioware has been talking about Mass Effect being a cinematic experince. So I'm assuming it for a dramatic effect.
Perhaps... though it would be interesting if he actually was turning his back on Earth. Maybe as others suggested you will have to make a choice to help or not and by choosing to help you have to sacrifice something else.
Just a thought though.... it all likelihood you're right and it was just to look fancy.
