A Favour ((closed RP-Nuscian and Marytha))

((the first part of this rp took place within Sicarius Consortium and this is a continuation of that rp))

Mandrayk watched as Vigo Akora left the lab, this was an interesting turn of events, beneficial, none the less. When Akora had departed he turned his eyes locked upon the Twi’lek know sat upright sat upon the lab table. She was and interesting subject to say the least, her reactions to the procedure was….unique. She was, in part, a mystery. What little information he obtained about her past she was indeed as assassin of great skill, her training mission under Commander Raame had proven that such reports to be true. There was more to her however this he was sure. The way she had been so docile and so yielding to the situation. It was unusual. She had been bought a slave it appears and her loyalty it seems was in some regarded questionable. Which had lead to the Mandrayk’s implantation, by order of Akora, a small device of the Doctors own inventions simply dubbed “loyalty”. However as a reward for services rendered he had been “given” Marytha for the space of a week, not an uncommon reward in certain circles. This would work in his favour he had been immersed of late with an issue that he new Marytha could very well help him resolve. Her help would accelerate his plans he would have to move other factors forward but it could be done easily enough. He would study her closely during this their was more to her then first appearances and but he new their was a intelligence behind her actions. Their had to be no one would willing but them selves in such a positions, he refused to believe it. Their as more to this and he intended to undercover what secrets he could.

“Pray follow me, no doubt you will wish to rest after your ordeal I will not trouble until you are needed. Till them allow me to escort you to expect some private quarters so that you might find one best suited for you. After all we can, not you living in the slaves quarters any more as you and Vigo Akora have established."

*He gives a polite bow and gestures for her to follow*

“No doubt we can get some droids to collect your belongings but till them we shall find you some proper residence”

Marytha slides off the examination table, stretching her body out letting her muscles move correctly for a bit, her blue skin glistening still from the sweat generated from the ‘proceedure’. She put on more of her clothing covering up slightly. She then picked up her bag, slinging it over her shoulder she walked over to the Doctor, stopping fairly close.

‘Doctor, I assumed, as I belong to you for the week, I would be in your quarters. That way I could serve you most appropriately. There would be no delay for you to call me from where ever my new quarters may be to get to yours and so forth.’, she almost fluttered her eyelashes at him. ‘After all this, surely it can’t be that you don’t trust me? You wouldn’t want me to get into trouble for not doing my job to the best of my abilities, would you?’ She smiled a wicked grin at him, a knowing grin.

Mandrayk paused and observed Marytha ascended from where she sat and walked to they stood daily close to one another. Marytha was, as some may say, a perfect specimen of the Twi’lek race. Curvaceous, slender and with almost artistically sculpted features. All the features that made many races hold the Twi’leks in high esteem for their beauty. Which had no doubt resulted in their races repeated victimisation from slavers. The beauty of female Twi'leks was well known throughout the galaxy, and as a result many young Twi'leks were sold into slavery, becoming dancers or status symbols. And at this point Mandrayk was certain Marytha was well aware of her attributes, her reactions to Akora and even the “proccedure” had proven this to be true. She was well aware of her owen sensuality, another aspect that lead Nuscian to believed their was more to her than met the eye. . Her natural talents would be invauble during the up coming plans Nuscian already began to bubble and churn in his mind. Mandrayk listened intently to Marytha rasies a eyebrow as he seemingly fluttered her eye lashes at him.

‘After all this, surely it can’t be that you don’t trust me? You wouldn’t want me to get into trouble for not doing my job to the best of my abilities, would you?’

He broke out in a dark chuckle when Marytha finished and her mouth spread in a wicked, knowing grin. Marytha was clearly aware of her situations and to be true there was no flaw in her suggestion being so close would indeed save time. She could sleep in his quarters for now, he needed to contact some old friends and prepare.

“Indeed I would not dream of getting you in trouble with our superiors and indeed after all a level of trust may well be called for….Pray before we continue do you have a last name or do you prefer just…Marytha"

Nusican was partially surprised by Marythas use of the word sweet in was first he been caled that to his knowledge. Though he as impressed with the way she responded to his question. Wise words he thought as she describe the various titles and their uses and potand their uses and pand their uses and pand their uses and pand their uses and pand their uses and their uses and potency. He’d be intrested in findout out her othe titles if they did indeed comand some infleunce in these said regions.

“Wise words indeed though I meerly was wondering if you had a prefered title to which you would wish me to adress you with as such choose which ever you wish….but I’m babblerling. No doubt your tired I’ll save my questions for another time, pray follow me"

Mandrayk takes a step back and gestures for her to follow. He leads Marytha out of the main surgery part of the lab and into one of the adjacent doors nearer the flight of stairs. A door slides open revealing a medium sized room. The rooms is finely furbished, a few artistic items line three of the walls. Small elegant sculptures rest upon desktops and shelves. The shelves are filled with books and data pads, all documenting various medical thesis in a range of languages. A sizable bed is centred in the middle of the fourth wall, similar to those in the medical bay simple and plain. It looks un-slept in. The room resembles a study more than living quarters.

“Please rest here while I take care of a few things I wont be back till morning. If you need anything Barnaby can fetch you any items you need from your quarters or get you anything else you require”

She glances at the bed, and then the droid. 'You're not seriously planning on leaving me in a room with a droid for the night are you? Don't think I'd more useful on your errands? I mean unless you're visiting your wife or girlfriend... and even then..' , she hesitates.

'What could take all night that I couldn't help expedite? Then we could get a little rest before morning.' she smiled.

Mandrayk listen to Marytha’s objection then suggestion with interest, she had evidently dropped the docile visage she had previously used in the presence of Vigo Akora. She was well aware of who had the power around here. How delightful he thought.

“I merely suggested you rest for a while at least after all you have just undergone a…unique procedure. However if you so wish roam to your hearts content. However be advised we leave in the morning. Incidentally I was planning to leave you to your own devices as my business is so what mundane for some one of your talents. I shall enlighten you to the matter at hand tomorrow.”

He gestured for her to enter the room and he too entered and approached the GE3-series protocol droid

“Barnaby”

“Yes Doctor” it answered as it activates to been addressed directly. Its tone simple and computerised.

“See to its that Marytha needs are met I will return in the morning”

He turned to Marytha.

“Now I must leave if am to make all the necessary arrangements in time, now pray….trust me”

He ended the statement with a smile and then made his way to the corridor unless Marytha had anything else to add he would get to the task at hand.

Barnaby’s programming processed the question certain protocols were met and it responded in as it was programmed too in its typical computerised male voice. It step forward and stop an unthreatening distance away from her as programmed.

“I would advise you get some rest as the Doctor suggested, however you may be a it ease in regard to monitoring devices. My primary observation of this matter is ‘why’ would the Doctor place monitoring devices in his own quarters or upon myself. It would be illogical. Is their any thing you require Miss.”

Marytha smiles, pointing her scanner at the droid. 'You seem to have developed a flutter. Maybe I should a look at you? I'm very good with droids. The Doctor did say to assist me in any way you could.'

Marytha begins walking towards the droid.

The Droid didn’t move as it processed the statement and suggestion some of its more, innovative, program s became active. Her comment of the Doctors wishes has indeed given her the necessary authority.

“My system were at peak efficiency upon my last assessment, if a problem can be identified it must be repaired.”

'Open up and then shut down. I'll take good care of you.' She smiled. 'Won't hurt a bit, I swear.' She pulled a long spanner out of her belt.

The Droid stayed stock still.

“Very well”

Its programming goes into temporal shut down.

Marytha quickly opens the outer case of the droid, checking around inside for any sort of trip mechanisms. Touching nothing else, she stand and begins going over the room with a small scanning device, checking to see if she is being monitored. Obviously satisfied and surprised and the results she sits down at the Doctor’s computer.

She begins methodically going over everything she can, not opening breaking into anything that might leave a trace. Just seeing what she can inferring what she can. Gaining any information that may have been left laying around the wrong place or undeleted. She checks for older designs, perhaps things considered obsolete. Frequencies that the Doctor may fall into the habit of using again and again. Ideas that he keeps coming back to, etc. Every tiny piece, she places neatly into her memory, saving for later. Every little bit of knowledge about an eccentric is useful.

She mines unprotected email lists, who wants time with him, who does he talk to, who does he shun. Who can she use to help her against him, who can she use to help her, help him. Who in the Commission doesn’t approve, who in the Commission is trying to use him. Is anyone trying to set him up for a fall currently?

She quickly shuts down, once a small alarm from her wrist sounds once. She then takes her time replacing the cover on Barnaby.

She smiles happily as he powers back up, ‘Now, that must feel better.’

The droid began its activation sequence, software reification, protocol sequences checked and routine system check, all done in a matter of a few seconds. A small red light flutters on its face panel for a few moments.

“Thank you miss, is their anything else you require. Though I must again remind you to rest you have undergone a unique procedure.”

Mandrayk turns off the comm. Arrangements had been made, the board was set all that remained where the pieces. Mandrayk stalked through the corridors, he now wore another set of clothing, his medical fatigues somewhat unfit for the business he was planning to conduct. He wore as usual strangely formal wear, fine black trousers, a silk shirt and waistcoat. A knee length jacket hangs loosely from his shoulders, the material a richer shade of red. Upon his hands are fine gloves, and on his feet fine lace-less boots. Upon his head is a wide brim hat of the same colour as his jacket, a black strap around the stack. His hair is lose and the length simply pulled back over his shoulders.

The doors to the medical bay open; Mandrayk strides in. The medical bay lights are minimal, with no one officially within the medical bay the lights are switched to low energy. ‘Barnaby’ comes from the office and greets him. Mandrayk’s hums softly to himself some Arkanian melody. He goes into his office and perches himself chair by his desk. He turns around crosses his legs and faces his droid, the brim of his hat casting a shadow over his features in the dim light.

“So I trust our guest is resting.”

“Yes, Doctor”

“Ah good. I trust she didn't give up to much trouble?”

“No Marytha did not she was most helpful indeed she repaired a fault she found in my system.”

Mandrayk let out a soft chuckle.

“How every nice of her…Please wake our guest and then activate the other medical droids and mark out absence.” He would have to remember to expect Barnaby later on see what she had been up to. He was well aware of the monitor in the room, it was mainly used for outside contact namely within the GTC building. He quickly scoured his system setting off numerous programs, Mandrayk’s private work is a matter of up most ‘personal concern’ as such Mandrayk had installed a number of safe guards to monitor activity. She’d accessed the monitor that much he could tell, far as he could see she had not accessed anything vital, however she had shown initiative, given time who knows what she may of accessed. He would have to run a full check later on. She was a very capable individual that much was clear, it would be interesting to see her skills in the field.

With a wave of his hand he dispatched Barnaby, who then goes down into the lower level and enters the room to awake Marytha. Mandrayk chuckled to him self, and finished up upon the monitor and turned around facing the passage so that he might greet his guest upon her entrance. Mandrayk leant back in his seat his legs crossed, hands leisurely draped over the arms rests, his face obscured in shadow. His thin lips part slightly in a smile; tonight was going to prove…interesting.
